The University of Wisconsin at Madison planned to delete the software from their computers after the increase in charges by Microsoft. University officials were expected to distribute and provide technical support for Sun Microsystems' StarOffice, which was free to colleges. Madison decided to continue buying of Microsoft products, but departments and students will pay more for them.
