Diffusion pressure welding of superhard materials in vacuum

Some specific features are considered of the new method of joining two-layer diamond-hard-faced alloy plates and kyborite biplates to steels (40Kh, 35KhGSA) and tungsten-cobalt substrates using the diffusion pressure welding technique in vacuum. The new investigation results are given of the influence of the main technological parameters (pressure, temperature, isothermal holding time, vacuum degree) on weld strength and quality at temperatures to 700°C. The testing results are presented of cutting tools in production conditions.
