摘要
Single-polymer-composites (SPCs) are the class of composites with matrix and reinforcement made from the same polymer. Their advantages are reduced weight, superior mechanical properties and improving recyclability. Insert injection molding could realize the rapid production of SPCs. In order to determine the processing temperature window and obtain the temperature distribution inside the mold cavity, the insert injection molding process of PP SPCs was numerical simulated by the software Moldex3D. The simulated results of insert injection molding of PP SPCs and the injection molding of pure PP were comparatively analyzed. The distribution of temperature, viscosity, and warpage were all discussed. The temperature distribution under different injection temperature and experimental samples produced at the relative injection temperatures were comparatively analyzed. The results show that the fibers would not be melted and then could realize the function of reinforcement at the injection temperature of 180℃. © 2016, Editorial Board of Polymer Materials Science & Engineering.
