Fossil fuels are natural products made of biomass (organic waste). In the course of producing these fuels, nature abstracts and stores carbon from the carbon-hydrogen-oxygen working cycle that is continually occurring in the natural world. Releasing the carbon again by the use of fossil fuels automatically involves the risk of triggering climate change - taking into account the law of action and reaction - and these naturally stored fuel reserves are also finite. Creating solar-based chemical and energy sectors is therefore THE task facing mankind in the 21st century. The components for this are carbon, reclaimed directly from CO2 or extracted by refining biomass, and hydrogen, obtained using regenerative energy sources. These elements allow the natural process of fuel production to be technically recreated.
