WilTel goes it alone with ethernet direct to the enterprise

WilTel Communications is going alone to launch an end-to-end Ethernet service to earn revnues from the market. The company can utilize the infrastructure with the managed Ethernet access product and get Ethernet access to the customer. A lot of Ethernet that the company has deployed has been primarily local metro area and point-to-point services running over either SONET or sometimes actual wavelengths. The company will use BigBand hardware and software to roll out VoIP service in 2006.
