Aeronautical research in Canada: The organization of the Aeronautical Laboratories under the national research council and some of the special problems under investigation

The organization of the aeronautical laboratories under the National Research Council of Canada and the problems that were under investigation were described. The series of tests were designed to cover all the principal types of snow surfaces. The preliminary studies of the effect of rate of seeding, size of dry ice granule, the latent heat release, time taken for the generation of ice crystals and other factors were carried out using the induced precipitation technique. Small scale peculiarities of humidity distribution in the atmosphere were also demonstrated.
