摘要
Under the Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) concept in India, small-scale industries in a particular area form an association to form a common effluent treatment plant with financial help from the government. The characteristics of the effluent being treated at CETP facilities are outlined. Aeration systems are an important part of the treatment process. The chosen system must be energy efficient and minimize negative effects on the local environment. Factors to be considered when selecting a diffused aeration system are discussed.
