Sonoco announced its second price increase for North American paperboard, and paper-based tubes and cores in Europe. The company will raise prices of uncoated recycled paperboard by $40 per short ton in the U.S. and Canada respectively. The move was in response to a significant increase in old corrugated container (OCC) prices. Sonoco's pricing pattern was first announced in Europe for coreboard, where it dominates the market.
