摘要：
Subsurface distribution methods for effluent disposal by land application are described and compared with effluent disposal by spray irrigation. The advantages of subsurface distribution over spray irrigation are outlined. Drip distribution requires less land for effluent storage and has higher application rates than spray irrigation systems. The potential for using drip distribution in the USA is considered.
