Developments in plastics pipe technology and trenchless installation

A discussion on developments in plastic pipe technology and trenchless installation was presented. Three different developments showing the advantages of using plastic pipe systems were described. In the first example, a new and very different form of plastic pressure pipe created by having adhered protective and peelable polypropylene (PP) outside of a core polyethylene (PE) pressure pipe was described. The second case used the design of the pipe to create a pipe capable of installation into existing small diameter pipes containing knuckle elbows. Finally, the description of a pipe with memory was presented.
