摘要
A report on the uses of lubricants to make the plants more profitable, less costly to maintain and more energy efficient is presented. Lubricants affects the equipment and maintenance procedures in the areas like energy consumption, maintenance costs, usage and operating temperatures. Various characteristics that a good gear oil must have in order to function effectively and efficiently were also described.
