摘要
In order to analyze whether the curve squeal is generated when the friction coefficient is constant, and discuss the influence of the friction coefficient on the contact characteristics of the wheel-rail and the intensity of the curve squeal noise, the curve squeal noise prediction model is established. The prediction model includes wheel-rail elastic vibration model, interaction model in time-domain and acoustic radiation model, and the correctness of the wheel-rail interaction model is verified by CONTACT software. The analysis results show that: the curve squeal can also appear in constant friction coefficient. The friction coefficient has no effect on the frequency of curve squeal, and the unstable curve squeal frequency is always related to the 0-nodal-circle and 3-nodal-diameter axial mode of the wheel, when the lateral displacement of wheelset is 5 mm and the lateral creepage is -0.01. The greater the friction coefficient is, the larger the intensity of curve squeal noise is. Whether or not there will be stick/slip oscillation can be determined by the number of peak values of the lateral force level in frequency-domain. The intensity of stick/slip oscillation can be expressed by the proportion of the sliding zone in the contact patch. The curve squeal frequency can be predicted by the frequency of the maximum of the lateral force level or the sound power level. Two critical friction coefficients are proposed: when the friction coefficient is less than 0.20, there will be no curve squeal; the curve squeal will occur when the friction coefficient is greater than or equal to 0.24; and there is a possibility of curve squeal when the friction coefficient is between 0.20 and 0.24. © 2018 Journal of Mechanical Engineering.
