Numerical simulation of internal flow of contra-rotating axial flow fan

By solving the weighting average Navier-Stokes equations and combining with K-epsilon turbulent model, the internal flow of a contra-rotating axial flow fan was numerically simulated. The SIMPLE method and the mixed H-D scheme were employed. The velocity distribution at different flow surfaces was obtained to analyze qualitatively the performance of whole system. Simulation results are in agreement with test data. It is shown that the proposed simulation method is effective.
