Reasons for color variations in colored concrete

Some of the reasons responsible for variations in colored concrete are discussed. Aggregates account for the largest proportion of the concrete composition with an amount of around 70 vol.%. They make an important contribution to the inherent color of the concrete. It the surface is treated by sand-blasting, the coarse particles are exposed. In this case, their appearance, and the surface structure of the broken aggregates play a key role in the variations in colored concrete. Agregates are derived from nature and are subject to color variations in such concrete.
