摘要
In the present study, the effect of chemical reaction on coupled heat and mass transfer by mixed convection boundary-layer flow of Casson non-Newtonian fluid about a solid sphere has been investigated in the presence of hydrodynamic, thermal and solutal slip conditions is analyzed. The governing partial differential equations are normalized into non-similar equations with appropriate dimensionless variables and solved numerically by an efficient implicit iterative tri-diagonal finitedifference method. Comparisons with known numerical results are performed and the results are observed to be in excellent agreement. The effects various physical parameters are conducted and a representative set of numerical results for the velocity, temperature, and concentration profiles as well as the local skin-friction coefficient, local Nusselt and Sherwood numbers is represented graphically to show interesting features of the solutions. © Copyright 2016 American Scientific Publishers All rights reserved.
