Industry-supported class-action reform likely to pass with new amendments

A discussion about a chemical industry supported legislation designed to curb class-action lawsuits by shifting many cases from state courts into federal courts is presented. The legislation is headed for a vote on the Senate floor. Lawmakers on the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 12 to 7, to send the Class Action Fairness Act to the full Senate for consideration.
