摘要
The main aim of the present study is to correlate the permeabilities of fly-ash to its various physical properties such as the size of the material, the porosity, gradation etc. In this paper an attempt has been made to correlate the average size of a uniform-sized material, as well as mixtures of different sizes in known proportions, with their respective permeabilities at a known constant porosity. Mixture of different sizes, having lowest permeability is also tested with known percentages of cement at a known constant porosity to get a low permeable mass which can be used as a core or cut-off material in earthen dams or for lining earthen canals for the control of seepage through them.
