Hydrodynamic performance of horizontal axis tidal current turbine based on blade element momentum theory

摘要
The blades of hydraulic turbine were designed using simple wind turbine theory. Based on Glauert modified blade element momentum theory, the power and torque of horizontal axis tidal current turbine were calculated to get the performance curves of hydraulic turbine in different conditions. Flume test was done, the calculating results were compared with experimental data, and the results obtained by using BEM were verified.
