摘要
The role of fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) is likely to be expanded from primarily distillate producer to a source of chemical feedstocks for downstream production of clean blend stocks. In India, FCC units are geared towards maximisation of middle distillates. The prime requirements from these units are to produce maximum quantities of light cycle oil (LCO, bp 216-370°C.), a diesel blending component. This LCO is rich in naphthalene and its precursors.
