摘要
The paper introduces the application of acousto-ultrasonics to damage assessment of composites. The longitudinal wave resonance produced by acousto-ultrasonic signal in the thickness of the specimen makes the frequency spectrum energy concentrated nearby some frequency spot. Acoustic-wave is send from the sending transducer to the receiver transducer in the form of shear waves. The peak position of the acousto-ultrasonic spectrum is used for nondestructive evaluation of interlaminar bond quality in filament-wound fiber reinforced composites. The experimental results show that the parameter is sensitive to debonding and kissing bond in fiber reinforced composites.
