摘要
Electron-impact differential measurements were reported for the excitation of the 2p53s configuration of Ne. The Ne cross sections were obtained by experimental differential cross sections for the electron-impact excitation of the n=2 levels of atomic hydrogen and He measurements, as calibration standards. Results from calcualtions of these differential cross sections using R-matrix and unitarized first-order many-body theory, relativistic distorted-wave method and the distorted wave Born approximation methods were also presented. The experimental and theoretical gas beam profiles of mixed gases were found to be same within the experimental errors.
