摘要
In order to investigate the friction and wear problems between honed nodular cast iron cylinder liner and piston rings with Cu-Sn coating at the heavy duty conditions, piston rings with Cr coating and Cu-Sn/Cr coating were tested on a piston ring reciprocating liner test rig. Friction coefficient and cylinder wear loss were measured, and then the surface topography and chemical elements were analyzed to discuss the effect of Cu-Sn coating on the tribological properties. Results show that compared with the Cr coating, friction coefficient and cylinder wear loss of the Cu- Sn/Cr coating matched cylinder liner decrease by 2.6% and 51.8% respectively. The worn surface morphology of the cylinder liner presents the flat asperities, which forms a more regular platform structure. The Cu-Sn coating patches of the piston ring are embedded into the cylinder liner surface. It is helpful to form a chemical reaction film on the frictional surface, improve the contact and friction states among the asperities and promote the tribological properties of the nodular cast iron cylinder liner. © 2017, Editorial Office of the Transaction of CSICE.
