Sale deal nearing for Potlatch'S brainerd mill

Potlatch has signed a memorandum of understanding with a Michigan company, Missota Paper Co. LLC, for the sale of its idle printing paper mill in Brainerd, Minn. According to the agreement, sale discussions includes all real-estate and buildings at the mill, all equipment on site owned by Potlatch, as well as all systems and intellectual property used at the mill and owned by Potlatch. Missota Paper plans to produce uncoated freesheet at the machine mill that was earlier producing about 130,000 tpy of coated freesheet with capacity of 160,000 tons.
