摘要
In order to study the effects of high speed and heavy load on oil film thickness of hydrostatic thrust bearing, the method of combining theoretical analysis and experimental verification was adopted. The relation among oil film thickness, rational speed and load of the worktable in annular multi-pad hydrostatic thrust bearing was deduced by using lubricating theory and tribology principles. A test rig was designed for testing the oil film thickness of the above bearing, and a proven experiment was carried out. The calculated results qualitatively agree well with the experimental data. It has been found that by increasing the rotational speed and load the inertia lubricant flow rate, the heat of shear and extrusion increase, and lubricating oil viscosity declines sharply. The oil film thickness gets thin quickly and boundary lubrication or dry friction appears in local bearing friction pair together with bearing friction pair uneven deformation, and then tribology failure happens. © 2016, Editorial Department of Journal of Propulsion Technology.
