The polytitanium(octyl)siloxane was synthesized by direct polymerization method. The structures and Mn of the polytitanium(octyl)siloxane were analyzed by FT-IR,1H-NMR and GPC; the OH-groups were investigated by chemical titration; the properties were texted by dynamic viscometer and TGA. Furthermore,the influencing factors such as reaction temperature and time,solvent type and silicon/titanium molar ratio on yield were also systematically studied. The results show that the polytitanium(octyl)siloxane was successfully synthesized with the yield of about 85%, and the product not only has good liquidity (125 Pa•s,50℃),but also the thermal decomposition temperature increases from 370℃ to about 448℃,and the char yield is 39% at 800℃. © 2020, Materials Review Magazine.
