The Bush administration has placed Alaska at the centre of its controversial energy policy. This article looks at the revival of oil and gas industry laps interest in Alaska's hydrocarbon potential (especially the North Slope) and experience and capabilities in terms of operating in harsh environments and introducing and using the latest technology.
