Uplift phenomenon in local ground surface induced by elastic foundation beam effects of underground excavation

By analyzing GPS monitoring data of surface movement in No.3 mine area, Jinchuan Group Co., Ltd, found that there were slight uplift phenomena in local ground surface in the early ground mining. Reference to deformation characteristics of elastic foundation beam, explained the phenomenon, and called it as elastic foundation beam effects induced by underground excavation. And then analyzed occurrence conditions and process of the phenomenon and its characteristics while mining ore body of different angles by numerical methods. The results show that there are uplift phenomena in local ground surface regardless of ore's dip angle. And the phenomenon is the most significant while mining inclined ore body, and its location, distribution and uplift extent are asymmetric.
