摘要
There is a large target scatterance when a submarine launches anti-submarine acoustic homing torpedoes with incomplete target motion essential or target motion essential which has a big error to attack a hostile submarine. In order to increase the target hit probability, the submarine should execute salvo parallel to the course of the torpedo for attacking the underwater target. Based on the above mentioned salvo method, the mathematic model of obsuring the target scatterance was established and the valid search width-to-the target scatterance projection width ratio was calculated at different tactical situations and the salvo torpedo sums. The calculating results indicate that the salvo with two torpedoes can obscure the target scatterance at middle fire distance, and it will at least need four torpedoes in order to obscure the large target scatterance caused by large fire distance and big error of target motion essential. As the tactical presupposition is arbitrary, the conclusions possess universal significance for obscuring target scatterance of the torpedo salvo.
