The behavior of a three-level atomic system with structure of levels in the field of a sequence of short frequency-chirped bichromatic laser pulses (BLP) in the adiabatic passage regime of interaction was investigated. The efficiency of population transfer in the atomic system was shown to be sensitive to the relative phase of the pulses forming the BLP when the atom was prepared in a coherent superposition of its two ground state. This sensitivity was proposed to be used for coherent fast and robust reading and writing of optical phase informations.
