A study on applications of nanotechnology in chemical industry was carried out. The most promising areas of nanotechnology is nanocomposites; hybrid materials comprising very different components, such as combinations of inorganic and organic materials. The chemical industry will do well to embrace nanotechnology and the people who study it, even if the commercial applications may yet take a little time to develop.
