Contract 2. Móstoles - Fuenlabrada

The 7.312 m long section of Contract No. 2 of the Metrosur runs through the municipalities of Mostoles and Fuenlabrada. The section starts at the entrance of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos station and ends in the vicinity of the Fuenlabrada station on the adjacent section (contract 3). The article describes the construction methods using NFM, the false tunnels, pits and stations. The article goes on to describe the characteristics of the tunnelling machine and the subsidence analysis during the design and constructions stages as well as giving a brief description of the soil treatment carried out during the works.
