Research on the improved test of cold starting capability for small farming air-cooled diesel engine

Aimed at the factors that affect swirl-chamber diesel engine cold starting capability and the matching problem of the best structural parameters of swirl-chamber, five schemes of combustion chamber of diesel engine have been tested comparably. The parameters for the cold start of diesel engine around 0°C such as the shape and size of the auxiliary chamber, the shape and position of the channel which connects the main combustion chamber and the auxiliary one, the taper of staring hole, the shape of drained channel on top of the piston in main chamber, have been achieved. The optimal parameters between those two schemes have been applied to CZ165F diesel engine. The result indicates that the engine can be started at -2°C and the other performance parameters such as power, fuel, exhaust smoke condensation, noise and so on are also improved greatly.
