摘要
A data set utilizing the dipole-dipole resistivity technique covering an area of 5 excavation levels at a proposed highway site at the Ras en Naqab escarpment, south Jordan has been collected and interpreted to provide additional stratigraphie and subsurface structural information at the site. The interpretations obtained from 2D-modelling of the field data demonstrated a strong correlation between resistivity anomalies and mapped subsurface geology. Based upon the lateral and vertical resistivity changes with depth, the thickness and slope of the subsurface members was outlined. Analysis of the exposed section showed that estimated member thicknesses and quantitative assessment of resistivity inferred from dipole-dipole resistivity data were in good agreement with the thickness and lithology found in the section.
