Mailing business in Canada is expected to witness growth in the future that forces mailing companies to add innovative printing equipment and services to ensure increased mailing capacity. Glenn Colton, president of Quality Printing of Barrie has revealed that the company has invested in some mailing equipment, software and training that enable them to offer mailing and printing to their clients. Ross McKenzie, director of software development, Pitney Bowes, Canada reports that a printer could invest less than $60,000 for a new system that would include postal sorting software, an entry-level inkjet printer to address labels, folder-inserter and postage meter and envelope sealer. Pitney Bowes' entry-level addressing system is the AddressRight DA300 that can produce up to 4,400 number-10 envelopes per hour with a resolution of 600 dpi. Entry-level production devices enable printers to be productive in the mailing business with volumes from 10,000 to 100,000 per month.
