摘要
Fracture mechanics has been introduced to study some practical engineering problems about Typical reservoir located in Shenyang. From the point of view of fracture mechanics, the main reasons of freezing damage to the reservoir slope are analyzed. For ice, strength is very sensitive to strain rate Ε, fracture mechanics experiments which meet brittle failure theory have been conducted in the condition of Ε > ΕR. Based on testing results, the fracture toughness KIC and GC are obtained. Numerical solutions obtained from semi-analytical finite element methods are close to the results mentioned above, which proves this theoretical model as well as the research method is reasonable and effective. It makes significant attempt for research on avoiding freezing damage to reservoir slope in seasonal frozen soil region. The conclusion may serve as reference to the design of reservoir slopes.
