Strippit/LVD group has expanded its line of Orion CO2 laser cutting systems with the Orion 3015 and the Orion 3015Plus Auto Load/Unload. The systems will allow processing of a range of materials in sheet sizes to 1,500 mm by 3,000 mm. The rigid framework of the system allows it to maintain high processing speeds without loss of cut quality. Orion 3015Plus has automatic NC Focus that uses an AC servomotor to automatically adjust to the optimum focal position for the material being processed. The standard laser cutting head accommodates a 5-in. quick-change lens, which can be installed or exchanged easily. Automatic cutting-gas selection and automatic cutting-gas pressure control with servo valves are the standard features of the systems. A high pressure cutting head of the system produces clean cuts and is equipped with a safety system to protects the head from collision with the workpiece. Some other advanced features of the systems include cutting-path optimization and common line cutting.
