摘要
Shear fracture appearance percentage is an important factor for evaluating neutron irradiation embrittlement of nuclear pressure vessel steel. But it is difficult to measure the irregular surface directly, especially for post-irradiation specimens. Depending on Charpy-V instrumented impact tests, characteristic load values can be determined according to load-deflection curve which completely represents the impact failure processes, and shear fracture appearance percentage can be estimated using different formula. The estimating method is more effective to calculate irradiation-induced changes in transition temperature, which already successfully applied to the irradiation surveillance test of reactor pressure vessel steel of Daya-bay nuclear power station.
