摘要
This study aimed at evaluating the complicated calculation problems related to the vibration response of footbridge caused by the pedestrians. The pedestrain load is considered as the deterministic model. In addition, the analytical expression of vibration response caused by the individual pedestrians crossing the footbridge was deduced, and a simplified expression on the pedestrian-caused footbridge resonance and off-resonance response were provided. Based on these expressions, the amplification coefficient of pedestrian-caused footbridge vibration was determined. Taking a footbridge structure as an example, the simplified formula and amplification coefficient were compared with those deduced in the previous studies. Thus, the dynamic response of footbridge structure can be easily calculated using the simplified formula, thereby verifying the accuracy and correctness of the proposed method. © 2018, Editorial Department of Journal of HEU.
