摘要
This basic study is focused on the chemical removal method of carbon dioxide from the decomposition of ammonium carbarmate to prevent recombination of ammonium salts. Soda lime, which is widely used for medical, military, and safety purpose, is selected owing to the absorbent nature of carbon dioxide. Using ammonia gas and carbon dioxide gas to simulate the decomposition phenomena for ammonium carbarmate, the effects of CO2 adsorption characteristics for soda lime are investigated in this study. To analyze CO2 adsorption performance of soda lime in detail, several samples in powder and pellet state with normal, free-flow, and pressurized conditions are made for TGA. © 2017 The Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers.
