Babbitt structure-forming upon centrifugal casting the steel sliding bearings under different technological conditions in machines with the vertical rotating axis is studied. The babbitt castings are manufactured with the given rotating speeds and temperature of mold, alloy casting temperature and casting wall thickness. An influence of solidification relative time on crystal size of SnSb is investigated. It is ascertained that the adequate structure of solid phase in centrifugal pouring at 450°C can be obtained at the babbitt wall thickness less than 7 mm.
