摘要
The carbon buildup is a common effect in nuclear physics experiments, and it can affect the results of the low energy reaction experiments. In this work, the 13C targets were impinged by 12C beam with and without several kinds of electric fields. The results show that the amount of the carbon buildup in proportion to the irradiation time is observed. The cause of the carbon buildup and effective decreasing method in experiment were derived based on the analysis of experimental results. The results in this paper provide reference for correlative experiment. © 2017, Editorial Board of Atomic Energy Science and Technology. All right reserved.
