摘要
For the case of columns extended outside, an evaluation method for flexural strength of beam-column joints at the tops of first-story columns in RC soft-first-story frames is proposed. The capacity is computed from the moment equilibrium between external forces and resultant forces at the inclined section connecting the two reentrant corners of the joint. Anchorage failure should be considered for beam top bars. The anchorage failure is caused by crushing of concrete inside the bending region of the anchored bars and a calculating method for forces in the beam bars at anchorage failure is also shown. © 2018 Architectural Institute of Japan.
