To influence and to optimize the static and dynamic behaviour of railway tracks the rail pads between rail and sleeper are the main structural components. Requirements concerning the static and dynamic loads but also acoustics are the main aspects to pads. The present article describes measurements tests on a rail pad type Zw 700 of the Seargummi company, which took place within a DFG-Schwerpunktprogramm at Technical University Berlin. Main focus of the investigations were the behaviour in lower, middle and high frequency load tests under conditions of experimental work. Furthermore questions in preparation of model-data due to simulation and material properties are discussed and answered.
