摘要
The adoption of Plug-in Electric Vehicles (PEVs) and wind generators in the smart grid shall bring large power profile violation to the distribution grid, and the proper PEV charging scheduling mechanism is necessary in integrating the wind energy by coordinating PEV charging activities. This paper firstly establishes the model for evaluating PEV charging impact to the grid with real data on PEV, environment and grid characteristics. Then a scheduling mechanism is proposed to mitigate the wind power and PEV charging fluctuation by properly shifting the PEV charging requirement. The computer simulation results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed mechanism for alleviating the impact of PEVs on the grid while adopting the variability of wind generated power. © 2014 ICIC International.
