Certain approach to solving the problems of the stress state of noncircular hollow cylinders is suggested in the 3D statement, at certain conditions on edges that allows for reducing the problem to the 2D statement. This problem is reduced to 1D problem by introducing the additional functions into the solvable system of equations that are determined by using the discrete Fourier series. The 1D problem is solved by a stable numerical method. The examples of studying the stress state of cylinders of the elliptic cross section are given in dependence on the change in their thickness and degree of eccentricity.
