Prospecting breakthroughs and prospect of gold deposits in Shandong Province

On the basis of previous researches, and combined with the geological achievements in scientific research and prospecting breakthroughs about the gold deposits in Shandong in recent years, this paper summarizes systematically the regional metallogenetic regularity, prospecting method, regional metallogenetic regularity of the gold deposits and gold prospecting guidance in Shandong. As a world-famous gold provience, Shandong Province is the richest one in gold resources and gold production regions in China. In recent 5 years, particularly after National exploration and development planning (2011), Jiaodong area has made a significant progress in gold ore prospecting. In Sanshandao, Jiaojia and Zhaoping important gold ore belt have made continuous prospecting breakthroughs, the new gold resource of more than 2500 tons, has identified resources reserves has reached more than 4500 tons.
