摘要
The widely-used electron optics software, based on the obsolete DOS system in simulation of the microwave tubes, were modified and upgraded to be compatible to WINDOW system and the latest development in the field. In addition to provision of a friendly human-computer interaction interface, the impacts of various factors, including the environment temperature, relativity effect and initial electron energy, on emission characteristics of the electron gun were carefully considered, in the modeling and software modification as well. Besides, a variable step-size Runge-Kunta algorithm was used to calculate the electron trajectories. The simulated results with the newly-modified software package were found to agree fairly well with those measured in experiments.
