摘要
An electronic nose system structured with cone-shaped gas collection chamber is developed for rapid and lossless chicken freshness detection. According to the odor of chicken, the gas sensor array is reasonably selected. The bionic gas collection chamber is designed such that it resembles dog's nasal structure. RBF neural network is used for pattern recognition. The system accuracy on chicken freshness detection is evidenced to be 98.75% by physical and chemical tests. Conclusive evidence shows the use of artificial olfactory system in detecting chicken freshness is feasible.
