Engine torque is the basic data for driver assistance, vehicle mass reconstruction and fault diagnosis. To solve the torque data missing problem in OBD data, a torque reconstruction algorithm was proposed based on fuel injection-engine speed ratio piecewise linear model, reference torque was calculated by vehicle dynamics model, and piecewise linear model parameters were identified by weighted least squares(WLS) method. The algorithm is verified in Yutong ZK6902HGA model vehicle. The error between reconstructed torque and MAP torque is 7.60%,, which proves the accuracy of the proposed algorithm. © 2017, Editorial Board of Journal of Tianjin University(Science and Technology).
