Aiming at the demerits of traditional open-loop control system of single-phase alternate current fan filter unit (FFU) induction motor, a speed closed-loop control system of single-phase alternate current induction motor (SPIM) was designed and developed in this paper to achieve high-precision speed regulation control of FFU system. The control system used the dsPIC30F3010 as the control core chip. The control method is discussed and the main hardware circuit and software design are given. Experimental and practical results show that the proposed system is reasonable and has good speed control performance; the system can also meet the control requirements of FFU project application. © Springer-Verlag 2013.
